Fresh out of high school, two local brothers learned looking for work with a disability is limited. With the help of family, they built a business that fits their abilities. Inclusion Day - Hobros Cotton Candy - UNBC Women's SoccerSeptember 9th, our University of Northern British Columbia Women's Soccer team has their highly-anticipated home opener against the UWinnipeg Wesmen Athletics, but the night is sure to be memorable for another reason. It's Inclusion Day, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our Special Olympics BC - PG friends to join us in the starting lineup and play at halftime. We will also have earplugs and a quiet room for those who may need it! Finally, we are so excited to welcome Hobros Candy Co. to the game, where they'll be spinning their delicious cotton candy! Best of all, our amazing friends at KJM Sales have paid for the first TWO HUNDRED bags of cotton candy for fans! Sam, Josh, and Riley came by this week to show us just how they make the treats! Can't wait to see you at the field!!

The Hobros were all born with different abilities. This made every milestone much more challenging for them to achieve in comparison with other children but so much sweeter! They have overcome much adversity and have now graduated high school and they have been exploring what is available to them out in the real world.
What we have all discovered is that the opportunities for persons with disabilities in furthering their education and experience is very limited. Not wanting to be limited by what’s out there, when the opportunity arose for these young men to try their hands in business they jumped at the chance – with the help of their families of course! They are excited to bring their special spin on the age-old treat along with new and exciting freeze-dried candies to the community of Prince George.
